How To Use The Upload Feature

The Upload feature, located beneath every storyboard shot, allows you to influence your images using your own visuals.

It provides several ways to integrate reference images, sketches, or backgrounds directly into your storyboard.

Simple Image Upload

The easiest option is Simple Image Upload.

Just upload an image and it will be inserted directly into your storyboard.

This is perfect when you want to include:

• your own photos
• reference visuals
• concept images

The uploaded image becomes the visual content of that shot.

Image to Image

With Image to Image, you upload a picture that serves as a reference for the generated shot.

This is especially useful if you already have a clear idea for:

• camera angle
• perspective
• lighting or mood
• composition

After uploading your reference, you can adjust the reference strength slider.

This slider controls how strongly the AI follows your uploaded image.

⚠️ Important:
Make sure your shot description matches the reference image.

If the description and image conflict, the generated result may look unusual.

Sketch to Image

The Sketch to Image feature is extremely powerful if you have hand-drawn or pre-designed sketches.

To use it:

  1. Upload your sketch

  2. Make sure the sketch aligns with your shot description

  3. Generate the image

The system will transform your sketch into a fully rendered storyboard frame in your selected visual style.

This is ideal for filmmakers who want to convert rough drawings into cinematic visuals.

Replace Background

With Replace Background, you can upload your own background image to substitute the existing environment.

The AI will:

• blend the background naturally into the scene
• make small adjustments to match perspective and lighting
• preserve the overall composition of the shot

This is a great way to integrate real locations or specific environments into your storyboard.

⚠️ Important Note: Using Iterate for Image Uploads

In addition to the Upload tools, the Iterate feature is also a very powerful way to work with your own images.

With Iterate, you can upload additional reference images or visual elements and combine them with your existing storyboard shot.

This is especially helpful if:

• the initial upload result isn’t exactly what you expected
• you want to add new visual elements to an existing image
• you want to refine or evolve a shot without generating a completely new one

Final Tip

The Upload tools allow you to combine your own visuals with AI generation, giving you greater control over composition, location, and visual storytelling.

Whether you are using reference images, sketches, or custom backgrounds, these features make it easy to guide the AI toward the exact result you have in mind.
