Let's get started:

1. Accessing the Create Character Feature: Click on the Character Editor in the top menu of the screen. This will open a window with all of your existing characters. Click on the "Add New" button to add a new character.

2. Naming Your Character: Begin by giving your character a name in the empty name field. For example, let's name our character David.

3. Describe Your Character: You can assign a look-alike for your character. For instance, let's say our character David resembles a famous actor. Or you could just describe David in detail with information about age, ethnicity, hair color, hair length and so on.

4. Upload An Image For Your Character: You can upload a photo for each character. This image will serve as a reference for generating your storyboard visuals. Once uploaded, the toggle next to the image will automatically switch to “Based on image reference,” and you can save your character that way.

However, it’s still important to provide a clear and detailed character description. This helps the AI distinguish between characters—especially when multiple characters appear in the same shot. In such cases, the description remains a crucial reference.

Alternatively, you can use the “RETRY” button to generate an AI image based on your character description. Once created, you can switch to “Based on image reference” to lock in that image as the visual reference going forward.

5. Creating the Character: Click the "SAVE" button to finalize.

6. Adding Characters to the Shot List or Storyboard: To add the newly created character to your shot list or storyboard, simply type in the name of the character in the shot description and it'll be automatically recognized by the tool.

7. RETRY below shots: To get a new image after you've edited or added characters, simply click RETRY below any shot, where the character is in.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly integrate characters into your storyboard, ensuring they are properly recognized and included in your scenes.

Feel free to experiment and have fun creating characters that bring your story to life!

Happy storyboarding!
