How to Use the Edit Tools

The Edit section (click on Edit below any shot in your storyboard view) provides a set of powerful tools that allow you to refine your storyboard images without regenerating the entire scene.

You will find the specific tools above the image inside the shot editor.

Mirror Your Shot

You can instantly mirror your shot with a single click.

This flips the image horizontally so you can quickly adjust the visual direction or composition of the scene.

There is no need to rewrite or regenerate the prompt — simply mirror the image to match the layout you want, and then save it.

Zoom In

If the generated shot size does not match the framing you want, you can manually zoom in.

Adjust the framing, save the change, and your shot will be updated immediately.

This is a quick way to refine composition and shot size.

Zoom Out (Extend the Scene)

You can also zoom out to expand the frame.

To do this:

  1. Click the Zoom Out icon

  2. Select Extend

The AI will generate a wider version of the scene, expanding the background while preserving the existing elements.

This is useful for converting tighter shots into wider compositions.

Add Directional Arrows

You can overlay directional arrows onto your image.

These arrows help visualize character or camera movement.

This is especially useful when you want to communicate motion clearly without creating a full animatic.

Generate a New Background

You can also design a completely new background by simply entering a prompt.

This allows you to quickly experiment with different locations or environments while keeping your characters and foreground elements.

Use Inpaint for Local Edits

The Inpaint tool allows you to modify a specific part of your image.

To use it:

  1. Select the area you want to change

  2. Enter a prompt describing the replacement

This works particularly well for:

• color adjustments
• adding small visual elements
• modifying props or clothing details

Search and Replace

With Search and Replace, you can tell the system to find something in the image and replace it with something else.

For example, you can replace:

• objects
• clothing items
• environmental details

This tool allows you to change elements without manually selecting them.

Erase Elements

If there is something in the image you do not want, you can simply erase it.

  1. Select the unwanted area

  2. Click Erase

The AI will remove the object and blend the background naturally to maintain visual consistency.

Final Tip

The Edit Tools give you precise control over your storyboard shots.

Instead of regenerating entire images, you can quickly refine composition, adjust details, and experiment with new visual ideas directly inside the editor.
